In partnership with the Delaware Health Sciences Alliance and ChristianaCare, we have embarked on the ambitious and achievable goal of significantly expanding graduate medical education of several types throughout the State, with focus on Kent and Sussex Counties, and areas of critical need in New Castle County.
By increasing the number and variety of graduate medical education slots throughout the State we immediately bring newly trained and dedicated Medical Residents, Advanced Practice Clinicians, as well as home health aids and medical assistants to our workforce, many of whom will be immediately employable and placed upon training completion. This program creates a sustainable flow of a variety of practitioners with a focus on Behavioral Health providers in both psychology and psychiatry.
This model also expands upon the Branch Campus model employed by the DIMER program, and well complements its efforts specific to medical student placements from DIMER institutions in Philadelphia.
